Kharris (Zoox Kalinzhki at Montblanc)                            This is " Me "   ---->

It is with great sadness that I update our site with the sad news that on the 05/07/07 we lost our beloved Kharris:( Run free sweetheart... with Kodii, Kyamm, Omar, Nisha and Maverick. You have left a gaping hole in our hearts and we miss you so much :( wear your silver harness with pride, you earned it Kharris, you gave us almost 10 years of unconditional love, joy and happiness, and left us your children Kayos, Koffey and Kalyr to keep your memory alive. You will be pleased to know Koffey has taken over your role in the pack, just like you taught her too. God Bless Kharris and goodnight xx

I was born in Leeds, England into that very well known Kennel Zoox. When my humans Brian & Anne brought me home they thought they'd like to show me, but I was having none of that! Okay so I did win a few rosettes and Green star's and Best of Breed's at Show's, it really wasn't my scene. I also have the distinction of being nicknamed by my pack as Kate Moss because when it comes time to shake of that old winter coat I also shake off a lot of weight! I don't know why it bothers the humans because it doesn't bother me. I also do a bit of that exercise with my harness on but with a figure like mine I don't need to work out,(although now I am starting to get that middle-age spread thingy)..... that doesn't really appeal to me either pulling my humans for miles but between you and I it keeps those humans happy. They say I'm worth my weight in gold in my role as natural born leader. I run a happy pack, I think I have found my calling. In 2003 I became a Mum to seven babies:-) I am very Proud of them all. In 2005 I had maternal duties again, 4 babies :-) My maternal duties are now over.........My retirement begins now........yipee.........Although I am a grandma now I take things slower these days..but I enjoy watching the young ones.....I remember collecting all those acorns as Khandi does now...and chasing the squirrels and catching the frogs....ah....puppies....

Hi! My name is Kharris and I am a Siberian husky, as leader and oldest of my pack I felt it was my place to do the introductions. We are all girls but we know some very nice boys ! Oldest in my pack was Kodii 12 years old in January 2006. Sadly we lost Kodii only recently :-( The 1st Veteran in our pack. Myself (Kharris) 9 years old. ' That makes me a veteran as well! ' Kimak 9 years old.I hate to say it, but now myself and Kimak are veteran's.........but only in age...........We are so fit............. Kassie and Kolla who are both 7 years old. Kismet and Kirby who are both 5 years old. Not forgetting my babies who are 4 years old already.........Kayos and Koffey........Koffey being the clingy one.......never leaves my side........Kalyr who is 2 years old and lives with Samantha, Neil and a cheeky staffie! The juvenile husky of the pack is Khandi who is 1year old, and came from Scotland, not forgetting the pack baby Kitten, who is 9 months old and so forward ! I'm too old for all that puppy wrestling......although I love to watch the young ones do it...In case you were wondering we are all mommy's and daughters here, 3 mommy's and 8 daughters, apart from Khandi, I also manage, although they don't know it ! 2 Japanese Spitz, Tikka who is 10 years old and Holly who is 8 years old. 2 Japanese Shiba Inu called Kimba (Bear) who is 7 years old. And Summer who is 5 years old. This one try's to take my place as pack-leader and I've had to teach her a few lessons she won't..........I didn't hurt her............but I showed her my teeth..........I think she got the message...... My human pack consists of 4 humans and 3 little people.....(Jamie) who is six years old and his baby sister (Kacey) 9 months old.... and not forgetting Charlie, 6 months old, Samantha and Neil's daughter..... Two girlies in our baby human pack as well :-) but our human mum is going to have a lot of future junior handlers. As you can probably gather my paws are full, but a girl has her job to do! Kharris x

" Kodii" ( Irish Champion Kodii Spirit of the Wolf at Montblanc ) Sadly we lost our beloved Kodii on 6th November 2006, Gone but never forgotten :-( Kodii was my oldest pack member. She enjoyed that Showing malarkey. Born in Kilkenny Ireland, Kodii was the lady and the reserved one in my pack. Kodii retired from Showing, when she got her Irish Championship title. Although she did make a couple of appearances at Open shows and won Best Veteran.... She left all that up to all the younger ones in latter years. Kodii never gave me any trouble she was very quiet and like myself preferred a walk to that mushing carry-on, She did enjoy it in her younger years, Unlike me she was allowed to go walking instead of running. Spoilt me thinks Spoilt. In Jan 2005 Kodii got very ill, the humans found a lump on her throat, hoping it would'nt come to anything they checked it every day, but unfortunately it grew really big, So a visit to the vet was taken by the humans ......tears all the way........Our vet knows us very well and he decided there and then to operate to take a piece for analyis, but once he opened Kodii's throat, he could see a mass like a plum, he was very careful to remove it intact, and did a brilliant job of stitching Kodii up..........so the mother says.......although she told me when they went to pick Kodii up she nearly fainted at the scar! Anyhow Kodii came back to the pack but had to live indoors with me.........as I was on maternity duties so I had a lot on my mind as well........Unfortunately the tumour came back malignant, But the good news was the vet had removed the mass from the thyroid intact, Now the humans had got to watch for secondary's spreading to the lymph glands, but they took her every 4 weeks for check-ups.....She then fully recovered from her operation and was now back out with me and the other girls...........Unfortunately Kodii took sick again in May of 2005, after many months of x-rays, injections, blood tests, she was diagnosed as Diabetic, Kodii then got insulin every day and responded well, it had taken many months of daily visits to the vet to get her stabilised, then she turned into a puppy again and grew a beautiful coat, and had a new lease of life when Khandi came, that puppy gave her so much fun in her old age.....Sadly as with Diabetes in dogs the insulin was'nt working anymore and Kodii's wee body just gave up, she had lost all her fight, but right to the end was the Kodii we knew and loved :-( Kodii is buried with Kyamm in a beautiful nature reserve..... Run free girls..... you earned your silver harnesses..... wear them with pride.......goodnight and god bless......hugs and kisses from us all xx Kharris has joined the girls on the nature reserve

Kimak (Skimarque Kimak at Montblanc) Kimak is my second in command, there's only a month's difference in our ages. Kimak is the only cream and white girl in the pack, Mum to Kirby and Kismet, and grandma to Kitten. We were very competitive and jealous of each other when young but we've sorted that out now. Kimak was born in Southampton. England. At another well known kennel Skimarque. She's totally different from myself in that she's really into that running. She's the leader in that area, but then that's in her background her mother was also a lead dog in harness. Kimak is such a dedicated and hard worker, her daughters Kismet and Kirby follow in her footsteps, Their dad that handsome English Champion Forstal's Astro (Jordan) shares their passion for working. Kimak also has the desire to raise every puppy born here at Montblanc, even if they are not hers! she has taught every puppy manners and even though two of them are seven years of age (Kassie and Kolla) still would get chastised....they respect her very much....

Kolla (Montblanc Komett Cherokee)

Kolla is my buddy, one of Kodii's babies born here at home, very like her dad in looks Kolla is particularly fond of both the show ring and the rig. A real team member who participates in all activities. She settled into my pack without one single disturbance. Very like myself in being interested in everything (nosey the human's call it) and also in the partaking of food (Greedy) and in particular I remember the taste of that wooden door when I was young! Kolla was diagnosed as being Epiliptic before she was 2 years of age, She is on medication and copes brilliantly with it, it has not stopped her doing anything she did before, although the Humans watch her constantly.
Kassie (Montblanc Kasala Shawnee)
Kassie is sister to Kolla, this one looks like her mother, she also likes the show ring and has been very successful, having gained all her major green stars with only points now to collect, the humans hope she will be their next Champion. Kassie represents our pack well at the shows, Kassie is a good team member who also works hard in harness, she is really easy going and like her sister unproblematic which I prefer my subjects to be. Blankets and towels she obviously, like the rest of us believes look much better with holes in them!

Contacting the Humans:

If you would like any help or advice please do not hesitate to contact us, as we are only too willing to talk about dogs.
We do breed occassionally but only when we want puppies for ourselves, The 5 litters of huskies we have bred we kept 8 girls, We only ever breed a girl who has an excellent temperament, passed her glaucoma eye test and has clear annual eye tests for Cataracts, and who has also been scored with a low hip-score, We try to choose the best male we can find who is also tested clear for Glaucoma and hereditary cataracts, and we would never consider breeding if joint hip-scores of male and female are over 20! When we breed we try to improve on what we have, We do not inbred, and would not even consider grandfather to daughter matings, we like to go as far away as possible, In doing this, it has given us some fantastic puppies. All our litters are born in our home and home reared with tons of human contact, there are no kennels or pens here, all our dogs run free, puppies are Kennel club registered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed, delivered to their new homes, puppy diets, puppy packs, treats and toys etc, and come with a lifetime guarantee!  "US"  as we are in touch with every single puppy we ever bred. ALL Montblanc puppies have breeding restrictions, these are for the benefit of the puppy to protect the puppy from being bred under the age of 2 years of age, also their hips must be tested and free from displasia, and all eye tests must be carried out, NO restrictions will ever be lifted to breed any of our puppies for financial gain.We are very particular where our babies go, and all homes are vetted, Hope this answers some of the questions we get e-mailed daily :-) Any other questions feel free to ask, on our question page

2001 was a special year for Montblanc, We had the honour of being Top Breeders in Ireland of Siberian Huskies. Our first litter was being shown that year and it is thanks to Sno, Kassie, and Kolla for that award. 2002 Storm, Kirby, Kodi, and Kismet will join them in the Showring. 2003 will have 6 of Kharris's and Beanie's babies in the ring! They are Kayos, Koffey, Anak, Boston, Zephyr and Diesel.
2005 will also have Kloud, Dakota, and Kalyr in the ring, Our Karbon Kopy litter

2005 was also a special year, Kharris was Top-Brood bitch in Siberian huskies, and at the half-way stage of the year we had Top-Breeders in Siberian huskies, We are very proud of that and of all our dogs who helped us achieve this great honour

As we have been members of the Great Britain Siberian husky club for many years, this year was special as it ended with " Kharris " being 6th in the top ten bitches in GB for Top Brood Bitch, " Kalyr " getting joint 8th Top Puppy! with her dad " Beanie" 4th in Top Sire and 7th Top Veteran! As you can tell we are delighted :-)
